Mixed Media Art Tutorials for Beginners|Simple and easy Mixed Media Art Techniques

Mixed media art is a combination of different techniques and different medium/texture in a single art form. There are multiple ways and techniques to do it. One can use their imagination and creativity to make mixed media art with acrylic, watercolor, sketch, pencil, distress ink, layering, stamping, embossing, stitching and lot more. I made one by using my favorite watercolor technique.

Procedure:
  • Use tissue paper/napkin for the background which will give you a nice texture in a cardstock.
  • Cut the papers into pieces and start sticking in the cardstock with glue. Allow it to dry.
  • Paint the background with watercolor.
  • Draw a girl in a newspaper and color them.
  • Trim the girl picture and paste it in the cardstock
  • Use woolen thread as a swing and stick it in the cardstock.
  • For flowers, stamp the flowers in a paper, color them and trim the shape out.
  • Start sticking the flower at the top and sides of the swing.
  • Decorate the dress of a girl by pasting the pearl
