In
India, Mother's Day is celebrated every year on second week of May.
Mother's Day is just a week away, everyone wants to surprise their mom
with the lovely gifts. This day is not only meant for mom, also for
grandmother and special women in our life.
This
post is about creating a memorable gift/card for mom. Make it more
special by offering a handmade present by yourself showing how much you
love her. I made a simple mother and baby giraffe card with quilling art
Procedure
- Draw a rough sketch of giraffe on a paper.
- Color them with acrylic paint.
- Make a tight coil and shape them into a half moon for head portion, stick it on the paper
- Make a elliptical dome shaped coil for mouth part and paste it
- Use brown/maroon color tight coil followed by yellow color for giraffe pattern
- Prepare 7 to 8 giraffe pattern and stick it on the paper
- Cover the entire body in yellow by using beehive technique.
- Paste a yellow strip quilling paper on all sides of the giraffe and trim the shape out.
- Make loose coils for ears and legs.
- Stick the completed giraffe on to the card stock.
- Design a heart shaped balloon and connect them to the tail of the baby giraffe using pen/sketch
- Complete the card by writing wishes/quotes
