Painted Wine bottle with Clay

Hello everyone,

I tried painting the bottle again in a different way. If u see my previous Bottle painting,I've used only acrylic, but this time I improvised it by using clay. 

I have made video tutorial for this bottle decoration

Tutorial:

• Remove the label by filling up the bottle with hot water for 20 to 30 mins, them peel the label from one corner.
• Paint the entire bottle with chalk paint/ gesso.
• Draw a pattern/design with pencil
• I've used air dry clay only for the turban, you can use it accordingly. Allow it to dry for few hours.
• After drying, color it with acrylic
• Atlast apply a coat of varnish for glossy look and protect from dust particles

Materials Used:

• Shilpkar fevicryl air dry clay
• Acrylic paint
• Paint brush
• Bottle
• Chalk Paint

Painted Wine Bottle

Hello everyone,

Today post is about decorating a wine bottle. If you have empty glass/plastic bottle,don't throw away,recycle them into a centerpiece decor or flower vase. 

How to remove label from the wine bottle ?

There are lot of method and techniques provided in the internet. I followed one of the method and it worked for me.

• Fill the empty wine bottle with hot water. 
• After 15 to 20 minutes, try to peel the label at one corner and slowly remove the entire sticker.

How to color the glass bottle?

• Before painting the glass bottle, apply a thick coat of gesso or chalk paint and allow it to dry thoroughly.
• Paint the entire bottle with acrylic/oil color of your choice.
• Later do a rough sketch on the bottle with pencil
• Use acrylic/oil painting for the decoration.
• At last apply a varnish on the bottle for a glossy look and protection.
